Sand Castles. . . of Sorts!

This was one of the last places that we visited, and we were getting hotter and more tired as the day got longer, so we never really appreciated it as we could have. We entered into the area thru a very narrow opening in the rocks, tall steep cravas, and came into this large opening full of sand! Just like at the beach? Not quite, I think it was all wind blown rock shavings, sand! As we came in, I got sand on my contacts, ah, nice! So i couldnt see and my eyes were crying and AH! We stayed awhile, but Madi didnt want sand in her shoes and I couldnt get the sand out and AH! So we snapped a couple of shots and headed out. . . .but it really was a nifty spot! People everywhere acting like they were at the beach. . . pretty funny. And it was so much cooler in there, but windy!

"Tennis Anyone?"

OK so its badmitton, who knew? Ha! Lazy afternoon in the sunshine. . .

An Afternoon at The Temple

Sunday afternoon at the temple and hundreds of Elders ( and Sisters) from the MTC were about. It was incredible! Tom and Jake,Joe and Jim, this is for you! One day this will be you!

What a grand thing it is to live so close to a temple, that you can walk over anytime and just hang out! Oh my heck, its so beautiful and peaceful and its just there for us to enjoy. Madi and Joe, you are SOOOO lucky! Here are some of my impressions from that walk.

More of Our Trip

I like these shots even if there's not so much of the scenery in them. . . they have some of my favorite people in them!

Humanitarian Service Project

Joe and Madi and Ella and me and Sister Tu
Kalori and Joe busy making bags!

Steven and Luke Mitchell and Madi and Ella
Does this make us bag people?? ha

Rhody Sat. afternoon, May 18th, I think, we went to the chapel and helped with a service project...we made toys to be sent to needy children around the world. Joe and Madi and I and Steven worked on drawstring bags for books and blocks. We had a fun with the Brother and Sister Tu. . . and it was nice to help the children.

Some of My Favorite Shots

Here are a couple of my favs from the visit to the desert!

Utah to Oregon

It's amazing to me the difference a few hours in a car can do to the scenery outside! We went from the oranges and reds of the desert to the lush greens of the Pacific Northwest in just hours.

From Arches National Park to Shalie Falls and who can doubt that Heavenly Father had a good day when he designed and made Utah and Oregon!

Bumper to Bumper Traffic . . . !!!

It was crazy on the freeway today, bumper to bumper at times!!! HAAAAA

A Stop in Idaho

Here are Elly and Tom and Ida Mae

We took Grandma Ida and left her in Jerome with Aunt Elly on Friday morning and so we picked her up today on the way home! I think we had more fun than she did. . . but she needed to see her brother and sister. She went to church with Elanore and Henry yesterday and was pleased that she has the Gospel in her life! Yeah for grandma Ida!!!

Another Adventure. . .

We are off to see Madi and Joe and Ella for the Memorial Day weekend. We're going down to Moab and to the Arches National Parks and to walk in the desert. . . not sure why, but the pics will be outstanding! I think we get a hotel with a pool and an AC, so it'll will be ok. So look for them soon and I'll post more as soon as I can.

Bethany, we need another adventure your way soon too! No more babies, so we need to think outside the box! HAAA

OK We made the trip and now we're home again. . . Madi posted a ton of the fun things we did and so I'll get more posted soon, but for now, here are a couple that she might not have! Dinner at Chili's Saturday and after church on Sunday.
