The Hartys found out from their landlady, that this small building was used by slaves as part of the underground railroad. They would stay here in the hidden basement area in the daytime, and then by the cover of night, they would make their way to the next safe house.
Its all brick and kinda scary! Thomas was pretty excited about the discovery, but dissapointed when there wasnt even a train to be had.
