Glenn Beck 08 LIVE

Last night, Pinky and Stephanie and I had the most amazing experience. We went to see Glenn Beck’s comedy tour “BECK 08” at Gateway Mall’s Cinema in Springfield “Live” from Dallas, Texas. It was broadcast to 350 different cites all at the same time. It was incredible! Now, to fully appreciate the evening, first, you have to enjoy Glenn Beck. Second, you have to love your country and be a conservative thinker. . if not, then the night could have been a little bit uncomfortable for you. Needless to say, WE LOVED IT!!! The theatre has a great seating setup, so that was good, and it was almost sold out, so that was good, and everyone in there was a Glenn fan, so that was GREAT!

He talked about love of country and introduced his friend Marcus Lutrell, the lone survivor of a Taliban attack. He was overcome with emotion as he thanked Marcus for his sacrifice and service to our country and he also thanked all his fallen comrades for their service. He got a standing ovation in Dallas, and our whole theatre applauded too, the first of many to come. It was awesome how the audience was part of the show, clapping and laughing and cheering. . and agreeing on issues that we are facing today.

His tour is named Beck 08/UNELECTABLE for good reason, he has very definite opinions on everything!! Not much was said that could be considered politically correct, but it was all so true. Glenn covered issues about the presidential campaigns and candidates, he talked about politicians and gas prices and silly city laws and the headlines and so much more. Like drilling for oil! In the Anwar. . no, that’s not oil they can drill for, its ice!! Yep, we have to start off slow and drill and see what happens to the ice when it meets with heat. . . not kidding! That’s the environmentalists for ya!! Glenn was of a mind, to ask, “How is it we can put a man on the moon, but we can’t manage to get oil from underneath a polar bear’s butt!!” Too funny.

Gun control and the NRA was a big hit in Texas and with our crowd too. Glenn shared personal stories of success and failure and the need to have a firm knowledge of who you are and why you are here. . and who you should always turn to for guidance and direction. He thanked Heavenly Father for his blessing and encouraged all of us to do the same. He applauded the United States of America and how he knows that we can leave this country for our children better than we found it, but its going to take hard work and commitment and we all have to do it together.

What a grand and glorious evening! What a patriot Glenn Beck is, what an example to all of us to live what we believe and believe in ourself. Thank you Mister Beck for a memorable evening.

Amen! Wasn't it wonderful? It was so heart warming to feel the audience so united. His deep patriotism speaks to your heart and you get the feeling that YES! We are still a great nation.... ONE Nation under God! I love that he reminded everyone of that, that that is where our great power comes from, from God! and..... it's coming out on DVD. ;o)
